I spent another night
Wondering why do I need to lie
Pretending I would miss you all the time
Please tell me why
I still allow my eyes to cry
Everytime I recall the day
When we first met
Trying to forget a girl like you
Once upon a time
I wish I'd asked you for a dance
The night we had our last romance
Then maybe we would still be dancing
Oh...........
If I'd asked you one more time
If you would be my valentine
Then maybe you would still be mine
I often dream of you
Like a fool dreams you're lonely too
Recall the love that we once knew
Can't tell you why
I won't allow this dream to die
Everytime I recall the day when we first met
Trying to forget a girl like you
It's hard to do
Once upon a time
I wish I'd asked you for a dance
The night we had our last romance
Then maybe we would still be dancing
Oh...........
If I'd asked you one more time
If you would be my valentine
Then maybe you would still be mine
A1 is a British/Norwegian boy band formed in 1998. The group consisted of Mark Read, Paul Marazzi, Ben Adams and Christian Ingebrigtsen. Their debut single, "Be the First to Believe", entered the UK singles chart at number 6 in early 1999. They achieved relative success in the charts with two number-one hits and eight top 10 hits. In 2001 they won a BRIT Award for "British Breakthrough Act". The group was formed by music manager Tim Byrne, who also formed Steps. A1's journey came to an end when original member Paul Marazzi left in 2002 and the band subsequently decided to split. In August 2009 they announced their reformation, without Marazzi, for a series of concerts in Oslo in December 2009 at the Christiania Theatre. Since their comeback, they have already released two new singles, "Take You Home" and "Don't Wanna Lose You Again". Their new album was released in October 2010.
