Considered one of the greatest dancehall artists, he achieved international fame in the 1990s with hits like "Who Am I" and "King of the Dancehall". Beenie Man is known for his energetic performances, incisive lyrics, and ability to blend different musical elements. He has collaborated with artists from various generations, including Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, and Snoop Dogg. Among his most important albums are "Blessed" (1997) and "Art and Life" (2000). Beenie Man has won numerous awards, including a Grammy Award in 2001 for his collaboration with Miss Thingz on "Who Am I".
