The Apples In Stereo are an American musical group formed in the 1990s, known for their psychedelic pop sound and influences from The Beach Boys. The band is affiliated with the Elephant 6 collective, which also includes artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel and Of Montreal. Initially founded as The Apples, they released their debut album *Fun Trick Noisemaker* in 1995. After several albums with a niche audience, they achieved greater popularity with the 2007 critically acclaimed album *New Magnetic Wonder*, praised for its musical experimentation and the creation of a new musical scale called the Non-Pythagorean scale by singer and producer Robert Schneider. Some of their most representative songs include "The Ballad of the Apples In Stereo", "You're My Favorite" and "New Magnetic Wonder".
