Gianni Negri, born Giovanni Sambiase in Naples on June 13, 1980, has been passionate about music since childhood, influenced by his singer mother who suggested he adopt the stage name «Negri». He studied singing and solfeggio, perfecting his skills at the piano and guitar, participating in numerous contests and musical events with success. At the age of 17, he wrote his first song, titled «Vivo di Te», a tribute to music that marked the beginning of his journey as a songwriter. At just 16 years old, he won the regional singing competition «Concorso Eubea» performing Alex Baroni's «Cambiare», a song that became one of his signature tunes. Starting in the 2000s, he performed in Neapolitan venues both as a pianist and as the frontman of various musical groups. In the gospel vocal group «Angeli Metropolitani», led by Gianfranco Caliendo (former vocalist and guitarist of Giardino dei Semplici), he toured Italy with performances. In 2003, with the song «Solitudine», they participated in the final of the San Marino Festival. Gianni Negri collaborates with various musicians as a singer and songwriter and holds the role of artistic director for numerous cultural events. In 2007, he lent his voice to Franky.
