Well you fall in love
Well you speak too soon
Well now you've ruined everything
I didn't lie to you
Some day I'll walk out
I didn't lie to you
There's nothing to work out
This is what you get when you ask for the truth
This is what you get when you ask for the truth
You knew it from the start
I never heard a sad song
I never heard a sad song that I didn't like
That's why I'm leaving you
But maybe not tonight
It's all you ever said that you wanted
And I know you know that I gave that to you
That I gave that to you
I never heard a sad song
I never heard a sad song that I didn't like
That's why I'm leaving you
But maybe not, maybe not tonight
I know that you know that I did
And I know that you know that I do
And I know that you know that I will always love you
But I'm going back to following out of chairs,
And puking on lampposts
I never heard a sad song
I never heard a sad song that I didn't like
I guess that's why she's the one that's leaving
And she's not waiting
Why should she wait
She's not waiting for me
To straighten up
You fall in love
You speak too soon
You ruin everything
That's why she's the one that's leaving
And she's leaving tonight
The Murder City Devils were a garage punk band active between 1996 and 2001. Originating from Seattle, Washington, in the United States, the band gained popularity for their raw and energetic sound, influenced by 1970s punk rock and proto-punk. Their musical style is characterized by distorted guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and often dark and provocative lyrics. After disbanding in 2001, The Murder City Devils reunited in 2006 for a series of concerts and have continued to record music sporadically. Some of their most representative tracks include "The Devil's Dance", "Black Heart Beat" and "I Don't Care".
