Tom Fogerty (Thomas Richard Fogerty; Berkeley, November 9, 1941 – Scottsdale, September 6, 1990) was an American musician best known as the guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival. He was the elder brother of John Fogerty, the lead singer and guitarist of that band. Tom contributed significantly to the band's signature rock sound, characterized by bluesy riffs and country-rock arrangements. After the dissolution of Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1972, Tom embarked on a solo career with limited commercial success.
