Stiv Bators (Steven John Bator), nato a Cleveland, Ohio, nel 1949, è stato un cantante e chitarrista statunitense considerato una figura iconica del punk rock. Conosciuto per la sua energia scatenata sul palco e il suo carisma magnetico, Bators ha fondato i The Dead Boys nel 1976, band che ha contribuito a definire l'estetica e lo spirito del movimento punk americano. I loro album, come "Young, Loud and Snotty" (1977), hanno segnato un punto di svolta nella musica rock, introducendo sonorità grezze e testi provocatori.
