Donovan, born Donovan Phillips Leitch in Glasgow, Scotland in 1943, is a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician. Considered one of the pioneers of folk rock in the 1960s, he achieved international fame with songs like "Sunshine Superman" and "Mellow Yellow". His music, characterized by catchy melodies, poetic lyrics, and psychedelic influences, helped define the musical aesthetics of the era. After a period of great commercial success, Donovan dedicated himself to exploring new musical genres, such as jazz and world music. Throughout his long career, he has collaborated with prominent artists like Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon. Among his most important albums are "Sunshine Superman" (1966) and "Mellow Yellow" (1967).
