Little River Band is an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in early 1975. The name came from a road sign they saw while traveling to a concert. Their music primarily falls into the soft rock genre, with influences of folk and country. They achieved considerable commercial success both in Australia and the United States, selling millions of records worldwide. Among their most famous songs are "Reminiscing", "Lonesome Loser" and "The Night Owls". Their self-titled debut album in 1976 marked the beginning of a long and prolific career, with several platinum albums and numerous singles that charted. Little River Band is considered one of the most influential Australian music groups of the 1970s and 1980s.
