Modern Talking was a German pop duo formed in Berlin in 1984 by Dieter Bohlen, composer and producer, and Thomas Anders, singer. Their sound, characterized by catchy synthpop and romantic lyrics in English, propelled them to international success during the 1980s. Modern Talking sold over 120 million records worldwide, becoming one of the most popular music groups of all time. Among their most famous hits are "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "Cheri, Cheri Lady" and "Brother Louie". After their first split in 1987, the duo reunited in 1998 for a new period of success. In 2003 they announced the group's dissolution once again.
