Warrant is an American hard rock and glam metal band active since 1984. The most famous and successful lineup of the group included Jani Lane (vocals), Erik Turner (guitar), Jerry Dixon (bass), Joey Allen (guitar) and Steven Sweet (drums). Their debut album, *Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich*, released in 1989, achieved commercial success thanks to the single "Down Boys". Their second album, *Cherry Pie* (1990), went platinum in the United States and spawned three hit singles: "Cherry Pie", "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "I Saw Red". The music video for "Cherry Pie" was particularly popular for its provocative imagery. After the success of *Cherry Pie*, Warrant continued to release albums, but never reached the same level of popularity. Lane died in 2011 from an alcohol and drug overdose.
