We storm the stage, we play our part
Everybody loves a thespian
We jump a grade, we make our mark
Everybody loves a champion
And we are larger than life
Brighter than lights
Weæ?®e always on
Everybody knows us weæ?®e the wonderful ones
We live too fast and then we die
Everybody loves a legend then
We shoot to last we donæ?° ask why
Everybody loves Americans
And we are armed to the teeth
High on speed
Weæ?®e always on
CHORUS: Everybody knows us weæ?®e the wonderful ones
Making the scene, the kings and
queens of last years prom
Everybody loves us, how about you?
BRIDGE: The ghostly girls who shed their skins
The sunbathed boys, the Hilton twins
The fabulous fucked up us
Well ready or not weæ?®e coming because
The show must go on
The show must go on
The show is on
CHORUS
Everybody knows us, weæ?®e the wonderful ones
Our names on the list weæ?®e hard to resist
Weæ?®e so like young
Everybody know us, weæ?®e the wonderful ones
Nothingæ?¯ our fault, we never get caught
Everybody loves us, how about you?
The Josh Joplin Group is an alternative rock band led by singer-songwriter Josh Joplin which formed in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially a trio, Joplin hired Geoff Melkonian (bass/viola/vocals) and Jason Buecker (drums/percussion/vocals) to accompany him to play shows together. They initially called themselves the Josh Joplin Band. In late 1995 they began pre-production on their first album together. Recorded at Furies Studios with producer Ed Burdell (Magnapop), Projector Head was released on January 6, 1996. Based on local critical success and some airplay on local radio, Joplin, Buecker, and Melkonian began touring vigorously, starting in the south, continuing through the northeast, and beyond.
