Counting Crows is an American rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1989. Their sound is characterized by catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and a strong folk-rock influence. After years of performing in clubs, the band signed with Geffen Records in 1993. Their debut album, *August and Everything After*, became an international success thanks to the single «Mr. Jones», achieving multi-platinum status.
