Albert Johnson, better known as Prodigy, was an American rapper and founding member of the hip hop duo Mobb Deep. Born in Queens, New York, in 1977, Prodigy began his musical career at the age of 12. In 1993, along with his childhood friend Havoc, he formed Mobb Deep, with whom he released some of the most influential albums in the history of underground hip hop.
