Time for livin'

Time for livin', time for givin'
No time for makin' up a monster to share
Time for livin', time for givin'
No time for breakin' our own fairy tale

Ain't ain't ain't nobody's got to spell it for me
Ain't nobody got it yet I can see
Ain't nobody got the thing I can hearBut if I have to I will yell in your ear

Time for livin', time for givin'
No time for runnin' over, anymore
Let's share time for livin' time for givin'
No time for passin' done the fun

Ain't ain't ain't nobody's got to spell it for me
Ain't nobody got it yet I can see
Ain't nobody got the thing I can hear
But if I have to I will yell in your ear
Don't you, don't you, don't you, yell in my ear

Time for changin' re-arrangin'
No time for peace, just pass the buckRearrangin', leader's changin'
Pretty soon he might not give a damn

Ain't ain't ain't nobody's got to spell it for me
Ain't nobody got it yet I can see
Ain't nobody got the thing I can hear
But if I have to I will yell in your ear
But we'll yell in your ear

Time's a changin', rearrangin'
Time, time, time, rearrangin'
Time, rearrangin ....

Biografia

Sly and The Family Stone were an American musical group from San Francisco, active from 1966 to 1983. Considered pioneers of funk, they profoundly influenced the development of soul, funk, and psychedelic music. The group was led by Sly Stone, a talented singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, who assembled primarily relatives and friends in the lineup. Among their most distinctive features is the multiracial composition, an innovative element for the time. Their albums achieved commercial success and contributed to defining the aesthetics and style of funk in the 1960s and 1970s. Some of Sly and The Family Stone's most representative songs are "Everyday People", "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)", "Hot Fun in the Summertime" and "Dance to the Music". The 1969 album "Stand!" is considered a masterpiece of the funk genre.
