Ride sono stati una band britannica di alternative rock formatisi ad Oxford nel 1988. Il gruppo era composto da Andy Bell (basso), Mark Gardener (voce, chitarra), Laurence "Loz" Colbert (chitarra) e Steve Queralt (batteria). Parteciparono al movimento "shoegaze", caratterizzato da sonorità introspettive e atmosfere psichedeliche. Dopo lo scioglimento nel 1996, i membri si dedicarono a progetti solisti o collaborazioni. Andy Bell divenne il bassista degli Oasis, mentre gli altri membri continuarono a produrre musica in vari contesti. Nel 2001 la band si riunì per un concerto speciale televisivo. Tra le canzoni più rappresentative di Ride ricordiamo "Vapour Trail", "Leave Them All Behind" e "Twisterella".
