Almir Sater è un musicista e cantautore brasiliano nato a Dourados, nello stato del Mato Grosso do Sul, nel 1958. È considerato uno dei più importanti esponenti della musica gauchesca brasiliana, genere caratterizzato da melodie tradizionali e testi che raccontano la vita rurale e le storie del popolo gaucho. Sater ha raggiunto fama nazionale con il suo album di debutto "Caminhos Me Levem", pubblicato nel 1987. Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con artisti come Luiz Gonzaga, Elba Ramalho e Zeca Pagodinho. I suoi brani più rappresentativi includono "Terra dos Sonhos", "7 Sinais" e "Aquarela do Brasil".
