Echo and the Bunnymen are a British rock band from Liverpool, formed in 1978. The original lineup consisted of Ian McCulloch (vocals), Will Sergeant (guitar) and Les Pattinson (bass). Pete de Freitas later joined as drummer. Their debut album, *Crocodiles*, was released in 1980, followed by *Heaven Up Here* in 1981.
