The Bravery is an American rock band formed in New York City in 2003. The original lineup consisted of Sam Endicott (lead vocals and guitar), John Conway (keyboards), Anthony Burulcich (drums), Michael Zakarin (guitar) and Mike Hindert (bass). Their sound, characterized as indie rock with influences from post-punk and new wave, achieved considerable success in the 2000s. Their debut album, *The Bravery*, released in 2005, reached number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned singles like "An Honest Mistake" and "Believe", which dominated American radio airwaves.
