Tropicollage

Se fue en Habanautos
Rumbo hasta Varadero
Apanado en la arena
Fumándose un Habano,
Se tiró algunas fotos
Recostado a una palma.

Volvió al Habana Libre
Alquiló un Turistaxi
Para ir a Tropicana
Después al aeropuerto y
Así se fue creyendo
Que conoció La Habana.

Ese tipo pagó la cuenta
Que me estaba sacando,
Pero en la polaroide
Y en su cabeza lleva
Tropicollage, collage, collage...

No fue a la Habana Vieja
No conoció los barrios
De obreros y creyentes.
No se tiró unas fotos
Sobre los arrecifes
Donde hay un mar de gente.

No vió a los constructores
Ladrillo y aguardiente
Cementando el futuro.
No tropezó en la calle
Con uno de esos tipos
Que dan cinco por uno.

Eso también es mi país
Y no puedo olvidarlo
Y el que quiera negarlo
En su cabeza lleva tropicollage,
Collage, collage...
Tropicollage, tropicollage,
Collage, collage...

Y a los refutadores
Que me están escuchando
Piensen en lo que digo
Yo sé que la divisa
Hace la economía
Como hace al pan el trigo.

Pero lo que no entiendo
Es que por el dinero
Confundan a la gente
Si vas a los hoteles
Por no ser extranjero
Te tratan diferente.

Eso ya está pasando aquí
Y yo quiero cambiarlo
Cómo no, y el que quiera negarlo
En su cabeza lleva tropicollage.
Collage, collage...
Tropicollage, collage,
Tropicollage, collage...

Quieren llevarse a mi país
En una bolsa de Cubalse
De esas que dicen en inglés
Que se compra fácil
Esta ciudad no cabe en una foto
De almanaque de París.

La gente está inventando antenas
Para ver Canal del Sol,
Es que a tropicollage
Le gusta salir en la televisión.
"Easy shopping", tropicollage...
"Easy shopping", tropicollage...
