Trunchell, Etc., the stage name of Francesco Truncellito, is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Matera on January 6, 2000. After gaining experience as a musician in various punk and alternative rock bands, in 2017 he began to focus on songwriting, creating his first lyrics and giving life to a particular subgenre of rap, “horrorcore”. His musical evolution led him to experiment with different sonic dimensions and authorial expressions, always connected to introspection and the direct and straightforward language typical of rap. His releases, enveloped in creepy and melancholic sounds, are a plunge into a complex universe, sometimes almost distorted, narrated through lyrics saturated with historical, biblical, and esoteric references. Trunchell, Etc. is an unconventional artist who draws intense and convulsive scenarios through the pen of a sharp and incisive writer who delves into clichés and moralism to bring to light discomforts, weaknesses, and uncomfortable themes, with the awareness that what disturbs moves and the hope of a collective awakening that can transform into a more attentive and constructive future.
