George Benson è un chitarrista e cantante statunitense nato a St. Louis, Missouri, nel 1943. Considerato uno dei più grandi chitarristi jazz di tutti i tempi, ha saputo conquistare il pubblico con una fusione di jazz, R and B e pop. Iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '60 suonando con gruppi come The Jack McDuff Trio e partecipando a sessioni di registrazione per artisti come Aretha Franklin e Al Green.
