UK Decay is a musical group formed in Luton, England, from the previous local band The Resistors. The founding members were Steven Abbot (Abbo) on guitar, Steve Harle on drums, Paul Wilson on vocals and Martin (Segovia) Smith on bass. The band emerged in the 1980s as one of the most influential bands of the English post-punk movement, characterized by dark and experimental sounds. UK Decay released several albums and EPs, including "The Last Days of the World" (1983) and "The Great Escape" (1984), which helped define the sound of the post-punk movement. The band was also known for its intense and engaging live performances. Although UK Decay ceased activity in the 1990s, their music continues to be appreciated by a public of underground music enthusiasts.
