Xmal Deutschland, also spelled X-Mal Deutschland or X Mal Deutschland, were a West German gothic rock band active from the 1980s to the 1990s. Formed in Hamburg in 1980, the group gained some popularity within the European goth scene thanks to their dark and melodic sound, influenced by post-punk and electronic music. Their musical style was characterized by the use of synthesizers, distorted guitars, and lyrics often in German that explored themes such as death, mystery, and solitude.
