Peter Daniell Doherty, known as Pete Doherty, is a British singer-songwriter and musician born in 1979. Known for his eccentric personality and controversial lifestyle, Doherty achieved international fame as the frontman of The Libertines, an indie rock band active between the early 2000s and 2004. With The Libertines, he released two successful albums: "Up the Bracket" (2002) and "The Libertines" (2004), both considered milestones of the British indie movement. After the breakup of The Libertines, Doherty formed the band Babyshambles, with whom he continued to release music and gain a loyal fan base. His career has been marked by ups and downs, between moments of great artistic creativity and personal problems that have often made headlines. Among Doherty's most famous songs are "Time for Heroes" (with The Libertines), "Rebels on the Line" (with Babyshambles) and "Albion" (from a solo album). His music is characterized by catchy melodies, introspective lyrics and a strong punk rock influence.
