Antonio Aguilar (José Pascual Antonio Aguilar Márquez Barraza), known as "El Charro de México", was a Mexican singer, actor, and film producer born on May 19, 1917, in Parral, Chihuahua. Considered one of the greatest interpreters of Mexican ranchera music, he sold over 25 million albums during his long career, which spanned from 1940 until his death in 2000.
