Capercaillie è un gruppo folk scozzese formatosi negli anni '80 da Donald Shaw e con Karen Matheson come voce principale. Il gruppo proviene dall'Argyll, una regione dell'ovest della Scozia, ed prende il nome dal gallo cedrone (Tetrao urogallus), uccello presente solo in Scozia nelle Isole Britanniche.
