Brad Ira Fiedel (born March 19, 1953) is an American film and video game composer, best known for his soundtracks to the Terminator franchise and the video game Doom. Fiedel began his career as a jazz musician and studied music composition at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 1984, he was hired by James Cameron to compose the score for his blockbuster film Terminator. Fiedel's music, characterized by distorted synthesizers and haunting melodies, significantly contributed to the dark and futuristic tone of the film. Fiedel continued to collaborate with Cameron on the soundtracks for subsequent Terminator sequels, solidifying his status as a composer in the horror/science fiction genre. Besides the Terminator films, Fiedel has composed scores for other films like The Abyss (1989) and True Lies (1994), as well as video games such as Doom (1993) and Quake (1996). His music often features innovative use of synthesizers, drum machines, and sound effects, creating immersive and unsettling atmospheres. Some of Brad Fiedel's most representative works include: *The Terminator Theme*, *Main Title* (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), *Doom Theme*.
