Cemetary è stata una band di gothic metal svedese fondata da Mathias Lodmalm nel 1989. Dopo alcuni anni, hanno firmato un contratto con Black Mark Productions e hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto "An Evil Shade Of Grey" nel 1992. La band ha registrato altri due album prima di passare da uno stile death metal a un gothic metal più definito con "Sundown" (1996) e "Last Confessions" (1997). Dopo una pausa di 7 anni, la band si è riunita nel 2004 e ha pubblicato il loro ultimo LP, "Phantasma". Nel maggio 2005, Mathias Lodmalm ha annunciato sul sito web della band che si sarebbe ritirato a causa della sua insoddisfazione per le persone con cui lavorava.
