Dave Weckl (nato l'8 gennaio 1960) è un batterista jazz fusion di fama internazionale. Originario degli Stati Uniti, si è diplomato alla Francis Howell High School di St. Charles, Missouri, nel 1978 e ha studiato jazz all'Università di Bridgeport nel Connecticut. Iniziò la sua carriera nella scena fusion di New York negli anni '80, collaborando con artisti come Paul Simon, Madonna, George Benson, Michel Camilo e Anthony Jackson. La sua popolarità esplose grazie al suo lavoro con la Chick Corea Elektric Band dal 1985 al 1991. Weckl è noto per la sua tecnica virtuosistica, l'improvvisazione brillante e la capacità di mescolare elementi jazz, fusion e progressive rock. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Dance", "Rhythm of the Soul" e "Master Plan".
