Delayed è una band di punk rock melodico originaria di Johannesburg, Sudafrica, attualmente basata a Londra, Regno Unito. Con un'ottica umoristica sulla vita che brilla attraverso le loro esibizioni dal vivo veloci ed energiche, Delayed mantiene contenuti lirici a cui qualsiasi ascoltatore può facilmente relazionarsi. Dopo aver attraversato diverse modifiche della formazione, la band si è ricostituita nel 2008 con il batterista slovacco Phil e ha registrato il loro EP intitolato "Cold December" nel 2009 presso gli iconici Stakeout Studios (You Me at Six, Fightstar, We Are the Ocean). Questo ha dato nuova linfa alla band con un nuovo sound e direzione, dimostrando di essere un successo nel portarli al livello successivo, con il singolo "What Do You Know" e "Impossible Dream" che hanno ottenuto diffusione radiofonica e assicurato loro alcuni importanti slot in locali, concerti e festival in tutto il Regno Unito, l'Europa e il Sudafrica. Delayed è entrato negli Stakeout Studios per registrare il nuovo album alla fine del 2010 e ha lavorato instancabilmente per creare un suono nuovo e raffinato! Il loro album di debutto, 'Addict' (data di uscita prevista maggio 2011) ha suscitato grande attesa da parte dei fan ed è già risultato essere sia un successo critico che commerciale con il singolo "MTV", che ha promosso la diffusione radiofonica e la richiesta di concerti in locali noti in tutto il paese, oltre ad aver attirato l'attenzione di organizzatori di festival nel Regno Unito ed europeo per il 2011. Con un suono che abbraccia le tendenze punk rock old school della scena skate punk californiana degli anni '90 (pensate a Offspring, Pennywise) fino ai più commerciali e orecchiabili pop-punkers come Blink 182 e Billy Talent, Delayed offre un sound punk dinamico, veloce ed energico insieme a ballate melodiche e toccanti e persino superando i confini con le loro uniche canzoni punk rap comiche. Con una formazione completa, incluso l'ultimo arrivato Andy il ?shredder? chitarrista solista, un nuovo album e una nuova prospettiva, sono ora pronti a incendiare i palchi di tutto il mondo!
