Doug Martsch (nato nel 1969) è un musicista americano originario di Boise, Idaho. È noto soprattutto per il suo stile vocale e chitarristico distintivo nella band Built to Spill. Ha collaborato anche con Calvin Johnson di Beat Happening nei The Halo Benders. La sua prima band fu Farm Days, con Andy Capps e Brett Nelson negli anni '80. Successivamente ha formato Treepeople, con cui ha pubblicato tre album e due EP. Dal 1992 è il leader dei Built to Spill. Martsch è considerato uno degli esponenti più importanti del rock alternativo americano, apprezzato per la sua capacità di creare atmosfere sonore intricate e melodie memorabili. Tra i brani rappresentativi di Doug Martsch e dei Built to Spill figurano 'Carry the Zero', 'Perfect from Now On' e 'You Were Right'.
