Ferruccio Tagliavini (Milano, 1913 – Roma, 1986) è stato un celebre tenore italiano. Considerato uno dei più grandi interpreti del repertorio belcantistico del XX secolo, ha dominato la scena operistica internazionale per oltre quarant'anni. La sua voce chiara e potente, con una straordinaria capacità di agilità e brillantezza, gli ha permesso di affrontare con maestria i ruoli di tenore lirico e spinto in opere di compositori come Donizetti, Rossini, Bellini e Verdi. Tra le sue interpretazioni più celebri ricordiamo il ruolo di Edgardo ne "Lucia di Lammermoor" di Donizetti, il Duca d'Alba ne "Don Pasquale" di Donizetti e Nemorino nelle "Elisir d'amore" di Donizetti. Tagliavini ha collaborato con alcuni dei più grandi direttori d'orchestra del suo tempo, tra cui Arturo Toscanini e Herbert von Karajan.
