Giancarlo Nisi is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician. He began his musical career in the 1970s as the frontman of the band Milk and Coffee, debuting in 1977 with the single "Goodbye San Francisco". The song, accompanied by "Pugni, Dollari e Spinaci", theme of a film of the same name, marked the beginning of a career that would lead him to collaborate with artists such as Gianni Boncompagni and Renzo Arbore. In 1978, he released the single "Lady Blue", adopted as the theme song for the radio program "Alto Gradimento". In 1979, the band achieved considerable success with the album "Indianapolis", which included disco tracks like "Indianapolis", "Sweet Melody" and "Angel Eyes", alternating with pop and melodic pieces. The album was also used as the theme song for the television show "A Tutto Gag". Throughout the 1980s, Milk and Coffee participated in important music festivals such as the Sanremo Music Festival (1982) with the song "Quando Incontri l'Amore", finishing sixth. The group also achieved international success, especially in South America. In 1983, the single "Canterò" achieved great success in France, where it was also recorded by Karen Cherill under the title "Beau C'est Beau". After a series of collaborations and appearances on television programs, Giancarlo Nisi dedicated himself to his solo career, returning to his roots as a songwriter.
