Giancarlo Nisi è un cantautore e musicista italiano. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '70 come frontman del gruppo Milk and Coffee, esordendo nel 1977 con il singolo "Goodbye San Francisco". Il brano, accompagnato da "Pugni, Dollari e Spinaci", tema di un film omonimo, segnò l'inizio di una carriera che lo porterà a collaborare con artisti come Gianni Boncompagni e Renzo Arbore. Nel 1978 pubblicò il singolo "Lady Blue", adottato come sigla del programma radiofonico "Alto Gradimento". Nel 1979, il gruppo raggiunse un notevole successo con l'album "Indianapolis", che includeva brani disco come "Indianapolis", "Sweet Melody" e "Angel Eyes", alternati a pezzi pop e melodici. L'album fu anche utilizzato come sigla per la trasmissione televisiva "A Tutto Gag". Nel corso degli anni '80, i Milk and Coffee parteciparono a festival musicali importanti come il Festival di Sanremo (1982) con il brano "Quando Incontri l'Amore", classificandosi al sesto posto. Il gruppo ottenne anche successo internazionale, soprattutto in Sud America. Nel 1983, il singolo "Canterò" raggiunse un grande successo in Francia, dove fu inciso anche da Karen Cherill con il titolo "Beau C'est Beau". Dopo una serie di collaborazioni e partecipazioni a programmi televisivi, Giancarlo Nisi si dedicò alla carriera solista, tornando alle sue origini di cantautore.
