Karin Cerini is a Swiss singer-songwriter born in Locarno. Her passion for music began at the age of 6 in the church choir of her hometown. At 10, she started studying singing, alongside music and solfeggio lessons. In 1999, she won the first Swiss Kids Talent Show, recording her first single «Sole» at just 11 years old. Over the years, she has participated in numerous singing competitions, including Castrocaro, performing both as a soloist and in bands. She dedicates herself to songwriting and music production, culminating in the recording of her debut Italian album, which she also produced. In 2019, she represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song «Sorry», an anthem for freedom and against gender stereotypes. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, she released «#RESTACASA», a trap song that raises awareness among young people about the virus, followed by «2020 Da Dimenticare», a humorous song about the difficult year experienced.
