Karin Cerini è una cantautrice svizzera nata a Locarno. La sua passione per la musica inizia all'età di 6 anni nel coro della chiesa locale. A 10 anni inizia lo studio del canto, affiancato da lezioni di musica e solfeggio. Nel 1999 vince il primo Swiss Kids Talent Show, registrando il suo primo singolo «Sole» a soli 11 anni. Nel corso degli anni partecipa a numerosi concorsi canori, tra cui Castrocaro, esibendosi sia come solista che in band. Si dedica alla scrittura di testi e alla produzione musicale, culminando con la registrazione del suo album d'esordio in italiano, prodotto anche da lei stessa. Nel 2019 rappresenta la Svizzera Italiana all'Eurovision Song Contest con il brano «Sorry», un inno alla libertà e contro gli stereotipi di genere. Durante la pandemia del 2020 pubblica «#RESTACASA», una canzone trap che sensibilizza i giovani sul tema del COVID-19, seguita da «2020 Da Dimenticare», un brano ironico sull'anno difficile vissuto. Karin Cerini è un'artista versatile e sensibile, con una notevole capacità di scrittura e diverse sfumature vocali.
