Nel 1964 ricevette il Premio Nobel per la Pace per il suo impegno nella lotta per i diritti civili. Il suo assassinio ha segnato un momento tragico nella storia americana, ma il suo messaggio di pace e giustizia continua ad ispirare persone in tutto il mondo.
