Massimo Germini (Limbiate, October 28, 1962) is an Italian guitarist and composer. Active for over thirty years, he has collaborated with artists from diverse musical backgrounds, contaminating his guitar technique with influences from Italian and foreign folk traditions. Among his most important collaborations are those with Grazia Di Michele, with whom he shared the stage for several years, and Roberto Vecchioni, with whom he has been collaborating steadily since 2002. He has contributed to the musical part of Vecchioni's latest albums, including "Io non appartengo più", "Canzoni per i figli" and the gold album "Infinito". Germini has also collaborated with artists such as Giovanni Nuti, Milva, Valentina Cortese, Simone Cristicchi and Monica Guerritore. In the theatrical field, he has curated the musical arrangements for plays such as "Musicalmente scorretto", "Ce n'est qu'un début", "Di là del mare" and "Wind Blow". Since 2017, he has accompanied Syria in the show "Bellissime", a tribute to Italian female songwriting, and since 2018 in "Perché non canti più", a homage to Gabriella Ferri. In addition to live collaborations, Germini has two instrumental music albums, "Fuoco" and "Corde e Martelli", and several discographic productions. He also taught at the University of Pavia, collaborating with Roberto Vecchioni in the "Forme di poesia in musica" chair. In 2020 he produced and arranged Rossella Seno's album "Pura come una Bestemmia". His long professional experience has made him a passionate connoisseur of Italian songwriting, earning him great respect among industry professionals.
