Nailbomb è stato un progetto musicale thrash metal statunitense formatosi nel 1993 dall'incontro tra Max Cavalera, già celebre per i Sepultura, e Alex Newport, chitarrista dei Fudge Tunnel. Il duo ha dato vita a un sound aggressivo e sperimentale, mescolando elementi di groove metal, hardcore punk e industrial. L'album d'esordio, "Point Blank", uscito nel 1994, è stato accolto con favore dalla critica per la sua potenza sonora e l'intensità delle performance. Nailbomb ha partecipato a tour importanti insieme a band come i Slayer e i Pantera, consolidando il proprio status di gruppo underground di spicco. Dopo un secondo album, "Proud to Commit Suicide", pubblicato nel 1996, il progetto si è sciolto. Max Cavalera ha continuato la sua carriera musicale con i Soulfly e i Cavalera Conspiracy, mentre Alex Newport ha collaborato con artisti come i Converge e i The Melvins.
