No Motiv è un gruppo musicale alternative rock e punk rock proveniente da Oxnard, California, sotto contratto con Vagrant Records. Dal 2006, No Motiv era la band più longeva di Vagrant Records, avendo collaborato con l'etichetta per un periodo maggiore rispetto a qualsiasi altro artista del roster. La formazione attuale di No Motiv include l'ex bassista Roger Camero alla batteria. Camero non ha mai abbandonato il gruppo, ma si è spostato dietro al kit quando il batterista Pat Pedraza ha lasciato la band per unirsi al gruppo alternative rock From Satellite. Il loro album di debutto, "Cynical", è stato distribuito da Edge Records. Il loro secondo album, "Scarred", è una raccolta di demo inedite e remix, anch'esso pubblicato da Edge Records. Successivamente No Motiv ha lasciato Edge per motivi non specificati. La band è nota per il fatto di suonare raramente, se mai, canzoni provenienti da questi due album durante i suoi concerti dal vivo. Il loro maggiore successo è arrivato con l'uscita del 2004 "Daylight Breaking", che ha raggiunto la posizione numero 36 nella classifica Billboard Top Independent Albums. Negli ultimi due anni, No Motiv ha suonato solo due concerti dal vivo. Il primo si è tenuto il 11 giugno 2006 al Livery Theatre di Ventura, CA, come concerto benefico per la chiusura del locale, nonché come reunion della leggendaria band sadcore The Whereabouts. No Motiv ha fatto un ultimo set improvvisato nel 2008 con Le Meu Le Purr al Billy O's di Ventura CA.
