Profiles In Terror è una band italiana di thrash metal formatasi a fine 2009. I membri fondatori sono Matteo Del Ferraro (chitarra), Federico Bardzki (basso) ed Emiliano Paola (batteria), provenienti da un precedente gruppo musicale. Dopo aver inizialmente cercato un sound più semplice, orientato al thrash metal di stampo tedesco e bay area, la band si completa con l'ingresso di Antonio De Simone (chitarra) e Alessandro De Masi (voce). Nel 2012, dopo una fase di instabilità dovuta alla mancanza di motivazione del cantante, Emanuele Capelli entra a far parte del gruppo, portando un nuovo impulso creativo. Nel 2013 i Profiles In Terror iniziano la registrazione del loro primo EP, "A painful birth", un titolo che riflette le difficoltà incontrate durante il processo. L'EP viene finalmente pubblicato nel 2014.
