Toxik are an American technical thrash metal band from Peekskill, New York. Formed in 1985 by guitarist Josh Christian and bassist Lee Erwin, the band enjoyed a period of activity throughout the 1980s and 1990s, culminating with the release of their album "World of Toxik" (1990). The band disbanded in 1992 but reunited in 2007 with a new lineup. They remain active today, releasing a new single, "Dangerous", in 2014, hinting at an upcoming new album. Toxik's sound is characterized by fast and complex riffs, aggressive drumming, and catchy melodies, drawing influence from classic thrash metal while incorporating a strong technical element.
