Biography

Vincenzo Addonisio, known artistically as VINS, was born in Latina on May 2, 1980. Growing up in a family of Neapolitan origin passionate about classical music and Italian singers like Claudio Villa, Beniamino Gigli and Maria Callas, his passion for music emerged at a young age. At 13, he began performing in the school choir, at 19 he joined his first musical groups and participated in his first live performances. At 20, he started playing guitar and composing his first songs. His musical journey continued with the bass, an instrument that allowed him to collaborate with numerous groups and perform in important venues such as Locanda Blues, Contestaccio, Alkatraz and Felt Music Club, in Latina and Rome. Among his most significant experiences, his participation in the Vasco Rossi cover band, Roxy Bar Band, sharing the stage with high-level musicians like Marco Biniero, Marco Lombardo and Roberto Segala. In 2006, he had the honor of playing with Claudio Golinelli (the Gallo), bassist of the great rocker. In 2006, with the song “Tormenti del Passato” (lyrics and music by VINS), duetting with Emiliano Valverde, he participated in Boy Band, a competition organized by Radio Luna, reaching the final and winning the critics' award in 2007. In 2008, a tensorial deficit of his vocal cords forced him to stop his singing career and join as bassist the pop-rock group Idem. In 2010, having overcome the vocal problem, he formed his band and began composing new songs. He is currently working on the EP and music videos. Meanwhile, he has participated in tours in France as a bassist with a Pontine group.
