Alberto Pizzo (Naples, 1980) is an internationally renowned Italian pianist and composer. He began studying piano at a very young age and graduated from the Conservatory of Naples. His career as a concert pianist has taken him to prestigious venues such as the Ravello Festival, the Teatro Bellini in Naples (where he duets with Chick Corea), the Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York, and the Premio Sele d'Oro with the symphony orchestra conducted by Luis Bacalov. In 2010, he became the protagonist of the "3 Piano Generations - 3 pianos on stage" project with Bacalov and Danilo Rea, a success that led him to perform in Italy and abroad (Genoa, Spoleto, Milan, Tokyo, Macedonia, Istanbul) alongside musicians such as Stefano Bollani, Rita Marcotulli, and Cesare Picco. In 2012, he released his first album "Funambulist", featuring Francesco Cafiso; the following year, "On The Way" was released with Mino Cinelu, Renzo Arbore, Toquinho, and David Knopfler. The track written with Knopfler also features Martin Ditcham, Pete Shaw, and Harry Bogdanovs. In 2016, he released "Memories" with Sony Classical, recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Luis Bacalov. Alberto Pizzo is one of the few Italian musicians who regularly performs abroad: Japan (in 2009 he played solo and with soprano Yuki Sunami at the Tokyo Stock Exchange), New York (various concerts in Manhattan) and South Korea (Dalsong Festival in front of an audience of over eleven thousand spectators). He has composed music for Rai International on Vincenzo Bellini and for Geo and Geo on Rai Tre. In 2016, he became Official Artist Yamaha in Hamburg, two years later he is the only Western name in the Yamaha Entertainment Japan roster.
