Camilla Conte, known professionally as KAWAKAMI, is a Milanese singer-songwriter and performer born in 1999. Her music transcends genres and styles with a versatility that reflects the multifaceted aspects of her personality. An admirer of beauty in all its forms, KAWAKAMI lives music as a form of freedom, a language that allows her to express both her sunny and eccentric nature and her more melancholic and introspective notes. Her musical journey began in 2022 with the debut single "Dita Mangiate", marking the start of a collaboration with producer Lorenzo Avanzi, which culminated in the release of her first EP, "(SOS)PESA", in 2023. The EP was accompanied by a summer tour across Lombardy and Piedmont. In February 2024, she joined the independent label Kmusic under the artistic direction of Kaizèn, with distribution by ADA Music Italy. Each song by KAWAKAMI is an emotional and cultural journey, capable of ranging from intimate atmospheres to driving rhythms.
