Riccardo Gumiero, known as Rjkko, was born in Cantù on April 15, 1974. From a young age, he showed a predisposition for music and musical composition. Growing up in a boarding school in the province of Como, he distinguished himself from his peers by preferring to improvise songs in an invented and improbable English. During his adolescence, due to the loss of his father, he had to adapt to the adult world and work to help his family. He left school at fourteen and started working. At thirteen, he took his first guitar (secretly taken from his sister Tiziana) and began to play. His first song, «La canzone del sole», became a classic for beginners. In 1994, he founded the rock cover band «90 Decibel» with his best friend Alfredo. They started a short series of experiences with parties and private concerts. Meanwhile, he wrote and recorded his first original song, «Giovane guerriero», dedicated to a friend. Life's vicissitudes led him to interrupt his passion for music in 1999 when he married Simona and started a family of four sons. In 2016, he rediscovered the pleasure of singing in public by participating in local singing competitions. In 2017, after a «mystical revelation», he decided to start again with songwriting. He met Fabio Fusi and together they produced the arrangements for his first song of the 2.0 era, «Ti porto via». He participated in numerous singing competitions and contests, accumulating awards and recognition. Among his most significant events: third place at the «Over 35» competition in 2018, winning the «Inedito» prize at the «Arcobaleno di Voci» competition with the song «Di Venerdì», second place at the «Canta che ti passa» competition in 2019 and participation in the prestigious «Una Voce per Sesto» competition.
