Tornado is a Bulgarian rock band formed in the autumn of 2003. The idea to form the band came during a car ride from Haskovo to Sofia, between four friends. The name Tornado was chosen that same night, with the understanding that it could be temporary until the group was fully formed. At the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004, the band defined itself (with five members) and started rehearsals. Meanwhile, the name Tornado remained a point of discussion as the members were not sure if it represented their musical image adequately.
