Busted is a British pop-punk band formed in London in 2002. The trio, consisting of Mattie Jay, James Bourne and Charlie Simpson, achieved success with a blend of pop-punk and boy band sounds, influenced by artists such as BBMak, Boyzone, blink-182 and Good Charlotte. Their self-titled debut album (2002) spawned three hit singles, including "You Said No (Crash and Burn)", which topped the UK charts. Their second album, *Present for Everyone* (2003), saw a more rock-oriented approach with influences from Simple Plan. Busted was nominated for Brit Awards in 2004 as Best British Group, Best British Breakthrough Artist and Best Pop Act.
