Porno for Pyros è stata una band alternative rock americana formatasi nel 1992. Il gruppo era composto da membri di Jane's Addiction: Perry Farrell (voce), Stephen Perkins (batteria) insieme a Peter DiStefano (chitarra) e Martyn LeNoble (basso). Dopo il successo di Jane's Addiction, i quattro musicisti hanno deciso di esplorare nuove sonorità, mescolando elementi di rock alternativo, funk e psichedelia. Il loro sound era caratterizzato da riff chitarristici potenti, ritmi sincopati e testi introspettivi che affrontavano temi come la sessualità, la spiritualità e l'alienazione sociale. Il loro album di debutto omonimo, "Porno for Pyros", uscito nel 1993, raggiunse il successo commerciale e ricevette recensioni positive dalla critica.
