Donni è un cantautore italiano nato a Bari nel 1980. La sua passione per la musica è nata durante le vacanze in Sicilia, ascoltando Pink Floyd, Battisti e De Andrè. Influenzato dai Doors e da Jim Morrison, iniziò a scrivere canzoni all'età di quattordici anni, mandandole al bassista Manuel Pili, che collaborerà con lui in futuro. A Bologna, dove si trasferì a diciotto anni per dedicarsi alla musica, trovò un ambiente più accogliente per il suo genere cantautorale, ispirato da artisti come Dalla, Guccini e Carboni.
