Roberto Tardito is an Italian musician, singer-songwriter and biographer born in Rome in 1958. He stands out for his musical research focused on the recovery and interpretation of European musical tradition, often with an experimental approach. His artistic career develops through several solo albums, characterized by a strong poetic component and original arrangements that blend folk, jazz and classical music elements. Among his most notable works are the album "The Voice of the Wind" (1987) and the project "The Song of the Earth" (2003), focused on rediscovering Italian folk songs. In 1996 he participated in Peter Gabriel's WE7 project, collaborating with international artists such as Youssou N'Dour and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Besides music, Tardito also dedicates himself to biographical writing, publishing essays and books on Italian musicians and composers.
